This policy statement is issued to all manufacturers operating oversees with JRA

On placement of a Purchase Order, the vendor will be advised by JRA or its appointed representative who the local NAMAS-UKAS approved international testing & inspection body is that will be used by JRA for the following services during production of the purchase order;

SHADE APPROVAL

  • Products must match our existing standard colours within the set parameters & are measured against our control shades held at the Testing & Inspection Body.
  • This includes the main fabric & when required the collars, cuffs, hem & any additional trim fabric, according to the individual style & colour.
  • Control Shades can be provided for assistance; however, these Control Shades must be returned to the Testing & Inspection Body in exactly the same condition they were given in & not tampered with at all.
  • Approval shades will be sent directly to the Testing & Inspection Body by the vendor for approval according to the testing parameter outlined within the issued tech pack.
  • Each submission must include the Purchase Order number, style name & colour.
  • The vendor must not proceed to bulk fabric production without first receiving this approval from JRA or its appointed representative.

FABRIC TESTING

  • Fabrics must match our existing fabric standards within the set parameters & are measured with apparatus at the Testing & Inspection Body
  • Testing of the main fabric only unless otherwise stated, according to the parameters set out within the tech pack will be conducted by the Testing & Inspection Body, each submission must be clearly marked with the Purchase Order number, style name & colour.
  • The vendor is not permitted to submit batches directly to the Testing & Inspection Body
  • Arrangements must be made directly with the Testing & Inspection Body to attend the vendor’s facility to select these submissions at random themselves.
  • The vendor must not proceed to bulk garment production without first receiving this approval from JRA or its appointed representatives.

 

GARMENT DESIGN & SPECIFICATION

  • Design & Specification must match our existing standards within the set parameters & are to be checked for conformity by the Testing & Inspection Body
  • The vendor must follow all details pertaining to the actual garment contained within the given tech pack, the Testing & Inspection Body have control samples for each style. These samples can be provided for assistance. Control Samples must be returned to the Testing & Inspection Body in exactly the same condition they were given in & not tampered with at all.
  • Alternatively, it is preferred that the vendor attend the Testing & Inspection Bodies’ office to check these Control Samples.
